Since 1934, Variety KC has been dedicated to serving children with cognitive, physical, and/or developmental disabilities across the Kansas City area. Variety KC provides critical adaptive mobility and medical equipment, communication devices, access to outpatient therapy services, and inclusive adaptive recreation programs - along with meaningful opportunities for children and families to fully participate in our community.

At Variety KC, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to Be Active, Be Social, and Belong - regardless of ability or diagnosis.

Today, one in four families includes a member with a disability, and one in six children is affected. While it costs an average of $250,000 to raise a child from birth to age 18, that cost increases nearly tenfold - to approximately $2.5 million - for a child with a disability. Unfortunately, much of the adaptive equipment and support these children need is not covered by even the best insurance plans.

In 2025, Trinadha generously raised more than $4,000, which directly helped purchase critical, life-changing adaptive equipment for multiple children with disabilities right here in the Kansas City community.
